MRS. FRED STAMER, FENTON PIONEER, DIES JANUARY 11

Fenton, Jan. 17, Special - On Tuesday evening of last week, at eight o'clock, at the John Wegner home, took place the death of Mrs. Fred Stamer. Several months ago Mr. and Mrs. Stamer went to make their temporary home with their daughter, Mrs. John Wegener, where they could enjoy modern conveniences during the winter. It was shortly afterwards that Mrs. Stamer fell off the back porch, and severely injured herself. From that time till the end she was confined to her bed and suffered greatly, being conscious only at times. Medical aid was at hand constantly, and at times it was thought she might be improving, but death finally intervened. Funeral services were conducted Friday afternoon at the Lutheran church, and interment was made in the Lutheran cemetery, north of town. Besides her aged husband, Mrs. Stamer left one son, W.C. Stamer, and a daughter, Mrs. John Wegener. A number of grandchildren also survive.
