Last Rites for Mrs. Van Buren Held Monday

Funeral services for Mrs. Emilie Van Buren, 80, a resident of near Waterloo, were held Monday afternoon from the Quernheim Funeral Home, Waterloo, to Holy Cross Lutheran Church at Wartburg, where last rites were administered by Rev. Youssi and Rev. Frick. Burial was in Holy Cross Lutheran Cemetery at Wartburg.

Mrs Van Buren died Jan. 17. She was born Sept 6, 1860, near Wartburg.

Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Emilie Boedecker, Waterloo; Mrs. Marie Bernau, West Bend, Ia.; Mrs. Herman Kneuper, Van Meter, Ia.; and Mrs Amanda Merod, Belleville; eight sons, Henry at home; John of Waterloo; Jacob, Belleville; Louis, Latrop, Mo.; William, Delevan, Kan.; Armin, Boonville, Ia.; Arthur and Albert of Van Meter, Ia.; a sister, Mrs. Fred Johanning; 26 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
